Join us for Giving Tuesday on December 2nd and help us bring radical generosity* to life right here in Broward County! From 8 am to 8 pm, we will be hosting an all-day live telethon from the NBC 6 and Telemundo 51 TV headquarters in Miramar to raise vital funds for NAMI Broward County's free mental health support groups, programs, and resources that bring hope and healing to individuals and families throughout our community. Your gift can make mental health for all a reality.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global movement that shifts the focus from consumerism to community — from Black Friday on November 28th and Cyber Monday on December 1st to Giving Tuesday on December 2nd. Giving Tuesday unites people around the world to use their spirit of generosity and support a cause that matters. Every act of kindness, every donation, every moment of support makes a difference.

NAMI Broward County was founded in 1984 to help eradicate the stigma associated with mental illness and improve the quality of life for all individuals throughout Broward County. We provide support groups, educational classes, programs, advocacy, resources, and an active Helpline for free to people who need support and want to help give support to those struggling with mental health conditions.

Trained NAMI Broward volunteers with their own lived experiences facilitate peer-led programs that provide free education, skills training, and support. NAMI Broward's support groups are peer-led and give participants the opportunity to share their experiences, gain support from other attendees, and feel like they are not alone.
